CILS collaborates and
networks with various community agencies to provide
consumers with a variety of resources. These
community agencies and resources include:

Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens:
Appalachian Agency for
Senior Citizens (AASC) is a private, non-profit organization
designated by the Virginia Department for the Aging as one of
Virginia’s 25 Area Agencies on Aging. AASC’s mission is to plan,
coordinate, and advocate for a seamless range of services to meet
the needs of older adults residing in Planning Service Area 2
(PSA2).

Cumberland Mountain
Community Service:
One of
forty (40) Community Service Boards in Virginia, offering a
comprehensive array of services in mental health, substance abuse,
and mental retardation.

TASK - Taking Action for Special Kids :
An independent non-profit agency serving the special needs
citizens of Tazewell County for over 25 years; helping families
with special needs children get the services they need by
providing information, referrals, and advocacy. P.O. Box
